Plasma TV Stands

No Plasma TV would complete without a quality Plasma TV stand to accompany it.  Often people overlook the additional cost incurred when looking for a Plasma TV stand and focus only on the cost of the Television itself.  The three main elements that people look for in a TV stand are size, style and durability.  Prices range from around £40 to over £4000 so there is a lot of choice on the market. You should not neglect the importance of a quality stand after you have invested heavily in a Plasma TV.   Here are a selection of Plasma TV stands that are on the market at the moment...

Budget

Basic or budget TV stands will be made out of MDF or similarly cheap material.  The stand will have been constructed with costs in mind so finish and durability may be limited.  Prices start at around £40 for a stand that can hold a 32" TV.  The stand will probably include one or two shelves for a DVD player or satellite box.  If you are on a limited budget and you bought an entry level plasma screen (e.g from one of the lesser established brands) then this may suit you.

Mainstream

Most Plasma TV owners opt for a stand priced between £100 and £500 which covers a vast array of stands.  For these prices you can choose a stand with a professional finish, typically either in aluminium, solid wood or glass. There are hundreds of different designs to choose from one good place to start is Google product search where you can find hundreds of stands listed from £40 upwards.  If you are buying your stand with your TV we recommend you ask for a discount on the stand, no harm in asking!

High end / Luxury

For those with a large budget, a high end designer TV stand can be suitable.  These will have been designed professionally and will be constructed using the finest materials.  High end / luxury plasma TV stands can cost upto £4,000.
